Hexagon Robotics’ AEON wins the iF DESIGN AWARD 2026

AEON wins the iF Design Award

Zürich, February 25th 2026 – Hexagon Robotics is proud to announce that AEON wins the iF Design Award 2026. Its multi-purpose humanoid robot has been awarded the prestigious Award, recognised as one of the world’s most renowned design honours. Run by the independent iF Design Foundation in Germany, the award has served as a global benchmark for outstanding design excellence and impact for over 70 years.

The sought-after design accolade was awarded to AEON in the Product Design discipline as part of iF DESIGN AWARD’s Industry category, recognizing its innovative design.

With its groundbreaking versatile capabilities, AEON supports factory teams on a variety of tasks, such as moving and inspecting parts and capturing images to create digital twins. Operations remain continuous thanks to its unique 25-second autonomous battery swap capability.

Its special design, based on wheels instead of feet, brings a big advantage in industrial settings: fetching parts, moving boxes, and supplying material over long distances can be carried out at a much faster pace. Routes don’t have to be straight, as AEON rotates 360 degrees on its wheels in less than a second.

AEON stood out among the high-calibre designs of competing entries to impress the international jury of 129 independent design experts.

This year’s iF DESIGN AWARD saw over 10,000 submissions from 68 countries. Winning signals Hexagon Robotics as an industry leader and AEON as among the most outstanding designs in its field, an impressive achievement that underlines the highly competitive nature and significance of winning this award.
